Federal Marriage Amendment Is Over, Now Let’s Help Reps. Goguen and Travis End “Gay Marriage” in Massachusetts By MassNews Staff Now that the federal marriage amendment is over, a call is being heard on many sides to help Reps. Goguen, Travis and others end “gay marriage” in Massachusetts, by removing Judge Marshall and the three judges who aided her illegal scheme and by allowing Judges Spina, Sosman and Cordy to restore the state Constitution. The majority of the “ conservative leaders” in the state have been blindly following the psychologist from Colorado, James Dobson and his Focus on the Family, since last November to a frustrating failure in Massachusetts and then on to this new failure in Washington. However, the majority of the citizens are rallying around those Representatives, particularly Emile Goguen (D-Fitchburg) and Philip Travis (D-Rehoboth), who have put their careers on the line by challenging the leadership of the Democratic Party in the state when the Reps filed Resolutions under the state Constitution to remove Judges Marshall, Greaney, Ireland and Cowin. “The citizens understand that the end of homosexual ‘marriage’ in Massachusetts is sitting there like a ripe raspberry waiting to be plucked,” says Sally Pawlick, President of Mass. Citizens for Marriage. “But we must do it within a week, which will happen. Everything is waiting for the disillusioned and tired followers of Dobson to jump-on-board. It’s all going to happen without them, but it would be much nicer if they would give their support to Goguen, Travis and the others who are exposing the corruption of Marshall, who assured the lesbian attorney, Mary Bonauto, in 1999 that she would win her lawsuit if she filed it here. The suit was subsequently filed here in April 1991. Boston Globe Is Behind Unlawful Conduct Local leaders have been very timid about confronting the power base of the Boston Globe and the state Democratic Party, says Pawlick. “Although the local leaders have been very careful about challenging the powerful Boston Globe and the Democratic Party, the stench became so bad about Marshall’s corruption that the angry citizens have revolted. “In order to get the truth out despite the blackout by the Globe and other obedient media in the state, we have used the powerful voices of WBZ, WEZE and other radio stations, combined with airplane banners flying over the Cape and North Shore beaches, the State House, busy highways and shopping centers, and with newsletters and MassNews helping to spread the word. “The Article 8 Alliance, a loose, grassroots organization of angry citizens has been spreading the word about Removal for the last few months, but it’s been difficult to break through the din and confusion created by Dobson, which is joyfully magnified by the Globe. “Now that all the Dobson efforts have ended in failure, everyone hopes that the leaders will get behind the citizens who are excited about Reps. Goguen, Travis and the others who are intent on removing Marshall and gay marriage from Massachusetts forever.” Pawlick says that Rep. Goguen, who has been the most prominent legislator behind the Removal effort, reports that he is warmly hugged and cheered everywhere he goes in his hometown of Fitchburg and across the state. He has been on dozens of radio talk shows across the nation where the response has been equally gratifying. Democratic Leaders Don’t Understand The leaders of the state Democratic Party do not understand what is happening among the citizens, say many. Although they lost the Governorship in 2002 after Senate President Tom Birmingham illegally refused to take a vote on the Protection of Marriage Amendment, the Party is pressuring Speaker Finneran to do the same thing again this year by not voting on the Resolutions of Reps. Goguen and Travis. “That is so stupid that it makes everyone wonder who is really behind the Democratic Party. Everyone knows that Finneran, like most people on Beacon Hill, has little respect for the royal, imperious manner of Margaret Marshall and is a stalwart supporter of traditional marriage. There must be enormous pressure on him from somewhere to cause him to act in this strange manner.” Action Required Immediately A vote of the House and Senate is required before the end of next week because after that everyone will be distracted by the Democratic Convention. But this isdoable, says Pawlick. “It could be accomplished in one day. This is not an Impeachment which requires complicated procedures and squads of lawyers. No one will become confused as the leadership so cunningly did to James Dobson and his minions. “Each legislator votes his own conscience as to whether a judge should be removed. He doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone except himself. Of course, he will account to the voters at the next election the same as any other vote. It will be very simple and clear as the position of each legislator is recorded for the voters to see in November. That frightens some legislators because they want everything to remain murky. This will put them on display in front of their constituents. Do they favor homosexual ‘marriage’ as illegally decreed by Margaret Marshall? ‘Yes or no?’ ‘Up or down?’”
