Brockton's Republican Committee Salutes New Liberal Vice Chair of State Committee
The Brockton Republican Committee has sent a fundraising letter across the state to honor the new, liberal Vice Chairman of the State Committee, Larry Novak.
Novak is described in a Globe article sent with the mailing as from the "party's liberal wing" who is "to the left of Romney on many issues. It said that Novak was an ally of Weld and Cellucci but split with Cellucci when he "moved closer to the GOP's conservative wing in 1997." The new Vice Chairman of the Republican Party also is a "strong supporter of abortion rights." Romney endorsed an opponent in the race for Vice Chairman, but she lost.
