Boston Globe Leads Celebration of Homosexual Parade
“God Has Proclaimed It”

The owner of the New York Times, Pinch Sulzberger, celebrated his triumph over Boston yesterday, with a story in his Boston paper about the Mayor leading a parade of homosexuals from across the nation and the world through the streets of Boston on Saturday.
Sulzberger planned this day five years ago in July 1999, when he dispatched Richard Gilman here from his New York headquarters to be the Publisher of the Boston Globe and to ensconce Margaret Marshall as Chief Justice of the SJC.
Yesterday, his Boston newspaper featured a story by reporter Jenna Russell, who gushed, “If there ever was a perfect parade theme, this was it. The 34th annual Boston Pride Parade was decked out in white lace yesterday, as thousands took to the streets to celebrate gay marriage.”  She wrote that the mood was more “political” this year but she didn’t mention that the raunchiness was impossible to hide behind “white lace.”

The event made an attempt to be religious with the homosexual Episcopalian priest who just became Bishop of New Hampshire, Gene Robinson, telling a group in the Old South Church in Copley Square, including a rousing cheer for those newly “married,” “What we are celebrating here today is more unnerving to many in the religious establishment than our parade. We are worthy to hold our heads high, not just because we decided we are worthy, but because God has proclaimed it.”
Even a Democratic Congressman from Ohio, Dennis J. Kucinich, joined the festivities, as
a Presidential candidate who endorses homosexual marriage.

The only person in Boston who did not enjoy the event, according to Sulzberger’s dutiful employee, Ms. Russell, was a man from Lawrence with a sign, “Homo Sex Is a Sin,” but he was quickly put in his place by “a lively group of students who stood close by decrying homophobia.”
