Lawyers Van Norstrand and Landers Honored for “Combating Discrimination” Against Homosexuals
Monday May 17, 2004

The Presidents of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association, Richard C. Van Nostrand and Renee M. Landers, were honored a few weeks ago for “combating discrimination” against homosexuals seeking marriage licenses. The award was presented by the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association, the same group which honored Chief Justices Margaret Marshall and Suzanne DelVeccho of the SJC and the Superior Court, a few years back. That was shortly before the homosexual “marriage” case was filed in the Superior Court and subsequently decided by Judge Marshall.

Van Nostrand is a partner in Worcester’s 49-person firm of Mirick O'Connell DeMallie & Lougee at 100 Front Street. The other recipient, Landers, is on the faculty at Suffolk Law School EditRegion3
