Although it does not excuse lawyers for a reluctance to remove Marshall from the SJC, it may be helpful, say some lawyers, to remember that they are all totally dependent upon judges for a fair hearing. In this day, where most lawyers are employees of a firm, there will be pressure on them not to hurt the firm by angering the judges. But when they remove Marshall and the other rogue judges on the SJC, they will all be better off. They are just beginning to understand this.
