Hundreds of Homosexuals Confuse Cape Cod Times
Wednesday May 5, 2004

The Cape Cod Times ran a story yesterday about an “adoring crowd” of “hundreds” that cheered the lesbian lawyer, Mary Bonatuo, but Atty. J. Edward Pawlick was not impressed to learn that they got “hundreds” of homosexuals out.

“They’re getting desperate,” said Pawlick. “When they came after Sally and me in Sherborn in 1998, they packed the Unitarian Church with 85 homosexual activists from all over the state and a dozen other people. Then they closed the doors so the press couldn’t get in. When the TV crews came by, they shot the event through the church windows and reported the place was jammed with town people who were angry at us.”

Pawlick said that Mary Bonauto is obviously becoming desperate now that she sees her plan to impose marriage teetering on the edge of disaster. He says it became obvious that the audience was homosexuals when the reporter wrote it was like a “pep rally” with a lot of “foot-stomping.” Pawlick said, “Even enthusiastic college kids wouldn’t be that excited. These were homosexuals who had driven in from around the state. Bonauto gave it away when she said grinning, ‘Clearly this is a supportive crowd. I like being around a friendly crowd, but often I’m not.’”
