| Alan Keyes Writes about “Libel by New York Times” by Atty. Ed Pawlick Make no mistake about it, my friend, standing up for marriage draws the anger of radical homosexual activists like a lightning rod! That’s because the elite media, led by the New York Times, will not slumber nor sleep until they have used so-called homosexual “marriage” to completely abolish the institution of marriage!! In fact, the publisher of the New York Times has made promoting the radical homosexual agenda a subject very dear to his heart! There’s not time in this letter to tell the whole story of why the New York Times is so bitterly determined to force America to embrace homosexual “marriage,” but this particular newspaper’s track record is clear. Owned and controlled by one liberal family, the Times has a long and ugly history of bias, using its clout to drag America leftward. But now it’s not telling us lies about communists in Moscow or Hanoi, but about decent fellow-Americans like you and me.
You see, the Sulzberger family, which owns and controls the New York Times, has immense wealth and the power of their newspaper (it’s been for decades the source of MOST American news for TV and other newspapers) to advance their extremist agenda with enormous success and little opposition. They can also very effectively move to crush any voices that arise against them. So that you can “know your enemy” better, my friend Ed Pawlick, himself an attorney and publisher, has produced a book about the New York Times and the Sulzberger family. What is so relevant about all this is that Ed is the one that helped initiate and finance the effort in 1991-1992 to amend the Massachusetts Constitution to outlaw homosexual “marriage.” Ed’s book tells how the Times used its power to influence the state judiciary, get away with libel AND force the voters of Massachusetts to accept homosexual “marriage.” This is anything but a spontaneous “civil rights” movement, and if the Times has its way, homosexual “marriage” is coming to your state soon! Ed Pawlick’s book is called Libel by New York Times. My organization, Declaration Alliance, has helped Ed’s efforts and the Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage, which he helped begin, in many ways. I have stood with Ed in rallies at the Massachusetts Supreme Court and in front of the State legislature. And Declaration Alliance has committed asset and resources to fighting homosexual marriage in Massachusetts – and elsewhere! But . . . now it’s time to decide where YOU stand. It’s time to decide what price YOU’LL pay to keep marriage out of the clutches of unconstitutional, unprincipled judges. My friend, if you were one of those who thought this was not serious, please, I implore you, pay attention now! Because in this generation, we will decide the fate of the American republic and of the civilization that we know. |
