State Senator Rosenberg to Speak on Shared Parenting

AMHERST -- The Hampshire and Franklin chapters of The Fatherhood Coalition with host State Senator Stanley C. Rosenberg, Saturday, Mar. 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Library in a forum on shared parenting -- an alternative to sole custody for divorced and unwed separated parents.

The Jones Library is located near the center of Amherst on Amity Street approximately two buildings on the right-hand side from the intersection of Amity/Main Street and North/South Pleasant Streets.

Amherst can be accessed via Rt. 9 from the East, Boston/Worcester, and from the West, Pittsfield/Northampton.  For those traveling I-90, take Exit 4 to I-91 North to Exit 19 and pick up Rt. 9 East to Hadley/Amherst.  For those traveling from Greenfield/Brattleboro on I-91 Southbound, use Exit 20 and follow signs to Rt. 9 East to Hadley/Amherst.

The event is free and open to the public.  There will be opportunities for discussion with the Senator, and also with advocates and experts regarding parenting issues.
